This blog is about my motivation and history of making paper mache hearts and some ideas and exhibits to share.

My work “We Are in This Together” is now installed at the Sanchez Art Center in Pacifica. The exhibit—The 50 -50—opens September 8th and runs through October 2nd. It is a fundraising exhibit involving 50 artist’s work. You need to buy tickets, 35$ each, for the opening days Sept. 8th and 9th. After that there is no charge to view the exhibit during the regular hours. I plan to be at the gallery on Sunday the 10th from 1 to 3 if you can come at that time.

The individual panels in my work are for sale at $90. + tax. Until the show opens Sept 8th you may purchase them on my website. If you buy 2 or more there is a 10% discount. The discount code is RUHLTDE. Enter that when prompted as you check out. When the exhibit opens September 8th, all sales will be through the Sanchez Art Center. Monica Bryant overpainted the photograph of Abraham Lincoln in 1863, by Alexander Gardner (October 17, 1821 – December 10, 1882. He was a Scottish photographer who immigrated to the United States in 1856, where he began to work full-time in that profession. He is best known for his photographs of the American Civil War, U.S. President Abraham Lincoln, and of the conspirators and the execution of the participants in the Lincoln assassination plot.

Monica Bryant is a mixed media artist living in Sonoma County California.

Artists who are former students and/or friends of Inez Storer will have a pop up gallery in Inez’s studio. She has had a wonderful studio in Pt. Reyes for years. It is a place of creativity and encouragement. Her work will be put away and ours will be on display. We are bringing works on paper, metal, wood, photographs and objects for sale in time for the holidays.
